Meerlust launches their 2011 Red
Chris Williams, winemaker at Meerlust, apologised for launching another vintage of their RED. What this means is that the wine which they usually blend for their Rubicon did not quite make it that far, so they bottle it under the RED label. We were privileged to have both the 2002 and the 2011 - and what stunning wines.
Owner, Hannes Myburgh and his team are so wonderfully warm, humble and hospitable.
A glorious home-cooked lunch in the cellar and fab singers from Never the Bride entertained us after lunch.
The Meerlust team were very trendy in their jackets and RED (grey!) t-shirts..
