Meerlust Estate celebrated 50 years of wine production under its own label with a commemorative function on 8 August 2025.
Michael Fridjhon, veteran journalist, judge and wine aficianado gave a wonderful keynote address, contextualising history and the wine industry and the Myburgh family.
Kudos to Hannes Myburg, current custodian and son of Nico Myburgh, who had the vision for Meerlust but sadly died before he could see its great successes.
