Meerlust Chardonnay receives 92 Points in Wine Spectator - 09/09/2007 |

 The Meerlust Chardonnay 2005 received a rating of 92 points in a recent tasting done by James Molesworth of Wine Spectator Magazine, on South African Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
He described the Meerlust Chardonnay as having characters of “ … glazed pear, apple and hazelnut combined with lemon zest, mineral and matchstick notes, this is both rich and chiseled, with a long, vibrant, mouthwatering finish that brings you back for more.”
Hannes Myburgh, owner of the Estate, says,” We are particularly proud of the 2005 Chardonnay. The credit for this wine should be given to our winemaker Chris Williams and his dedicated cellar team.”
